We are hiring professional taxi drivers from Latvia / EU to work in Bergen, Norway. You will drive modern vehicles (NIO EL6 and Tesla Model 3) and earn a 45% commission. We offer a stable, long-term position.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive a taxi in Bergen, Norway in a safe and professional manner
  • Use taxi dispatch systems and smartphone apps (Uber/Bolt + navigation)
  • Handle payments (card/cash when required) and follow daily operating routines
  • Keep the vehicle clean and in good condition
  • Follow Norwegian traffic regulations, company standards, and service procedures
  • Provide high-quality customer service to passengers

We expect from you:

  • Valid EU/EEA driving licence (Category B)
  • Minimum 2 years of driving experience
  • Previous taxi / Bolt / Uber experience
  • Ability to provide a clear criminal record certificate from your home country

In Norway, a taxi vehicle can typically generate approximately NOK 100,000 per month in gross turnover, depending on the number of shifts, working hours, demand, and the driver’s performance. The driver receives a commission-based gross salary equal to 45% of the vehicle’s turnover excluding 12% VAT. Example based on NOK 100,000 in monthly turnover: Gross turnover including VAT: NOK 100,000 Turnover excluding 12% VAT: approximately NOK 89,286 Driver’s commission-based gross salary at 45%: approximately NOK 40,179 per month Holiday pay As an employee in Norway, the driver also accrues holiday pay in accordance with Norwegian law. The statutory minimum holiday pay rate is 10.2% of the employee’s holiday pay basis. Example for a driver earning an average gross salary of NOK 40,000 per month for 12 months: Average monthly gross salary: NOK 40,000 Annual gross salary basis: NOK 480,000 Holiday pay at 10.2%: NOK 48,960 This means that the driver accrues approximately NOK 4,080 in holiday pay for every month in which NOK 40,000 is earned. The holiday pay is normally paid during the following holiday year and replaces ordinary salary when the employee takes holiday. Where an employment agreement provides five weeks of holiday, the holiday pay rate will normally be 12%. Based on an annual salary basis of NOK 480,000, this would amount to NOK 57,600 in holiday pay. Regular employment—not self-employment It is very important to understand that this is not a freelance, contractor, or self-employed position. Drivers are employed by our company as regular employees in Norway. The 45% commission is only the method used to calculate the employee’s gross salary. It does not mean that the driver operates their own business or works as an independent contractor. The company is responsible for: • Registering the employment relationship in Norway • Processing salary payments and providing payslips • Deducting and reporting tax • Paying employer contributions • Accruing and paying holiday pay • Providing the statutory rights and protections applicable to employees in Norway Actual monthly earnings depend on working hours, completed shifts, customer demand, and the total turnover generated by the driver.
